These days, we don't have to look far to see that the earth is getting simultaneously brighter and darker at the same time. God is beginning to 'separate the wheat from the tares' and the gray areas are shrinking. We're so privileged to live in a time where God is using His church to bring in the biggest harvest of souls ever known to man. But there's a pattern... something amazing typically takes place in the spiritual realm prior to seeing fruit in the physical realm. This amazing thing is called intercession!
In 1 Samuel 1, we read the story of an intercessor by the name of Hannah. Her pleas to the Lord were misunderstood by those around her, but her prayers produced breakthrough in the form of Samuel. Samuel helped equip prophetic musicians throughout the nation, who eventually 'came on staff' in King David's worship tent and led the nation into a culture of worship - the physically visible fruit of this was victory over their enemies and peace & prosperity during Solomon's reign.
Intercessors may sometimes be misunderstood, but we believe their efforts are essential and foundational to the move of God. God chooses to partner with His people to move on the earth, and intercession is that initial step. Intercessors, you are not alone! We have set up an online calendar tool called Craven24Seven to encourage intercessors across Eastern North Carolina (especially Craven County) by bringing to light all those who are interceding for this sweeping move of God.
