Burn New Bern @ TJ's CAVE - October 2015

Happy Fall, Y’all!

We so enjoyed coming together and worshiping our King Jesus at this month’s Burn! God is so honored by our worship and sacrifice of praise. Many people in our Burn community have had some run-ins with viruses or colds over the last several weeks but in spite of all that most of them were able to (safely) participate, and we are so grateful for their commitment to seeing Davidic worship restored in our generation!

God is bigger than any storm we may face, and His arm is not too short to save. At the same time we were "burning" this month, Hurricane Patricia made landfall in Mexico. We felt compelled to come together and pray that protection and grace would be extended to Mexico. We prayed that God would use this to bring a spiritual washing to the nation and that this “largest recorded storm in the Western Hemisphere in the history of recordkeeping” would cause people to turn to God, and spark the beginning of a national revival in Mexico. Can we just say GOD IS SO FAITHFUL… and He hears and responds when we pray! We take no credit for anything and know that there were so many people outside of our ministry who were interceding as well, but ultimately God heard all the prayers that went up. This storm dissipated quickly and resulted in “surprisingly little damage” with “no reports of deaths or injuries”!  God’s heart is that none would perish but that every tribe, tongue, people, and nation would come to know Him.

Our next Burn falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving. What better way to express a heart-posture of thankfulness than to spend time lavishing our love and adoration on God? If you’re going out of town, we will surely miss you… if you’re in town, we welcome you to bring the whole crew and come join us for some family worship time together!

Burn New Bern is not a 24-7 prayer house, but we are part of the Burn 24-7 movement. One of the core values of this movement is to inspire, equip, and encourage people to live a lifestyle of worship. No matter how much time we come together corporately, we encourage you to “DO 24-7” in your own life. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit… God intended the temple to be a house of prayer… therefore YOU can be a living, breathing, mobile 24-7 house of prayer!

Blessings and peace to you, and may you feel the nearness of God’s Presence as you seek Him with all your heart!
