Burn New Bern - March 2017 Newsletter

Hello Fiery Flamethrowers!

God is literally sending us to the fields in this season of tent ministry!!!
"...the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." - Matt 9:37, Luke 10:2
For whatever reason, the Lord is connecting us with farms and fields of various kinds. I feel like He is strategically placing us in gateway locations that seem insignificant to the general population but pivotal in the Kingdom. It's as if the locations we're being led to represent a spiritual reclamation of the land and surrounding areas in some way. The only thing that's certain is that we're following what the Lord is showing us and we're seeing fruit, so we will continue to plow in whatever directions the Holy Spirit sends us.

Some of the momentum we had during our first few years with Burn New Bern was partly due to consistency. We stayed fairly consistent with 4th Fridays, times, general location logistics and expectations. Obviously we left plenty of room for the Holy Spirit to move and we adjusted accordingly. We believe in structure and we strongly encourage freedom within parameters. Even when there is fruit, I always ask myself "how much more fruit could there have been if we....". We believe the Lord can give us divine strategy and prophetic insight for future gatherings so we do our best to schedule accordingly to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. With that being said, we're in an interesting season that most certainly puts us out of our comfort zone. We're still attempting to utilize 4th Fridays whenever possible but we're adjusting as the Lord leads. We're finding ourselves partnering with other gatherings in our local and regional areas to maximize unity and minimize burnout. We would rather do a few gatherings with excellence than a bunch with burnout! We're in this for the long haul! We recognize that many of the leaders that serve with us are also sowing in their local ministries, families, jobs and occasionally taking vacations so we want to honor them and their efforts the best we can! With that being said, we're locking stuff in on the calendar as we feel the Lord leading us but for some months, we are on standby until the Lord says go!

We need you to pray with us! Sign up to take your watch with the Craven24Seven prayer initiative. We can't do this without you!!!
