Hello Fiery Jesus Lovers,
Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." I feel that this is a season where we're simply not satisfied with going through the motions. There is a deeper yearning for something more. I am noticing an awakening in our generation that is both exciting and a bit overwhelming. There is a curiosity that is sweeping our nation that will not be fulfilled with just a limited amount of theological knowledge but will be elevated to new dimensions as we ignite our intellectual flames with encounters of the Living God. The Word of God that many are familiar with but rarely utilize in its fullness will begin to come to life as they experience depth in their personal relationship through an extended time in the secret place.
Burn New Bern is an expression with a heart to unify the local body for a time of corporate outpouring that will refresh and refine! This is an intentionally unified community effort to get filled up as you pour out and to bring that fresh fire back to your local expression for a larger community impact.
We invite and encourage anyone that is interested in serving as part of the Burn ministry team to join us for preBurns on 2nd Saturdays each month from 5-6pm at TJ's CAVE. Afterwards, TJ's CAVE will be open from 6-9pm for a time of commUNITY for those who want maximize our time together building relationships to unite us for the journey. Michael & Sara Thorsby (Burn Directors) will also be dedicating Monday nights (6-8pm) for individual and group leadership development/relational ministry time with those currently leading & potential leaders during March/April and will be starting a Burn Community Group on May 2nd for anyone interested. We strongly encourage our Burn commUNITY to engage with Craven24Seven. Sign up (as an individual or on behalf of a group) for one hour intercession and/or worship time slots. Don't be discouraged if you only see a few people signed up. Every hour that is covered is one step closer to 24/7. We've covered hundreds of hours of prayer over the last year and we are charging for MORE!!! Please don't assume someone else will cover the hours. We need YOU to sign up and take action!!!
