Hello Burn Family,
We've decided to do a last minute preBurn January 9th from 5-6pm and would love to have everyone there to dream out loud together for the coming year! Afterwards, TJ's CAVE will be open from 6-9pm for a time of commUNITY for those who want maximize our time together building relationships to unite us for the journey. Burn 24-7 is coming to the end of a 10 day corporate fast, multiple churches in the area are doing corporate fasting and prayer and a lot of individuals are hitting the reset switch as this new year unfolds. I feel the time is NOW to lay the foundations for the corporate breakthrough we're seeking in this season and want to ensure we connect before launching our first Burn of 2016! I wanted to give our Burn tribe a taste of what it's like on the Burn Directors conference calls involving leaders from all over the world with insight and encouragement from mothers and fathers of the faith. Our recent call (here) is about 60 minutes long (ignore the pocket recording after about 60 minutes)! If you get a chance to listen, I'm sure you'll find a few nuggets of encouragement as we hear from Papa Lou Engle, Stacey Campbell, Ray Hughes, Sean Feucht and David Fritch. These pioneers of the faith are walking out the stuff we're contending for and inject doses of hope through their faith-filled journeys.
Burn 24-7 Field Training - If you're interested in digging a bit deeper into the DNA of the Burn, there is a 10 month online course designed to help mobilize those who feel called to carry the flame of night and day worship and prayer to their city and to the nations. This course is good for leaders and servants of all kinds to help expand your understanding of biblical foundations of Burn 24-7. See www.burn24-7.com for more info. We strongly encourage our Burn commUNITY to engage with Craven24Seven. We need YOU to sign up (as an individual or on behalf of a group) for one hour intercession and/or worship time slots. Don't be discouraged if you only see a few people signed up. Every hour that is covered is one step closer to 24/7. We've covered hundreds of hours of prayer over the last year and we are charging for MORE!!!
If you are interested in serving at Burn New Bern as a worship leader, artist, shift leader, sound tech or intercessor, please contact thorsby@theburn247.com to be considered as part of our team. We're now accepting commitments for the next six months. We encourage everyone to prayerfully consider engaging for extended amounts of time... especially during the night watch! Pillows and blankets are welcomed for "sloaking" purposes!!!
