Hello Burning Ones!
Can you feel the burn? There's a lot of activity lately in the spiritual realms. As we press in harder to let an incense of praise rise in our cities, the enemy has no choice but to challenge that passionate pursuit of the presence of God. God's word gives us advance warning that the devil will come to steal, kill and destroy, and unfortunately some will fall... but for those operating with a firm foundation, we will not be shaken. The enemy will try to cause divisiveness through various methods and will make ridiculous efforts to keep powerful people from operating in unity. He will cause outlandish distractions as an attempt to keep your gaze off of Jesus. Don't back down. Press in harder and refuse to fall for the tactics of the enemy! I encourage you today... If you're not standing on a solid foundation, stand next to someone who is (with fruit in their lives) so you can be prepared for the seasons to come through discipleship and accountability... in spirit and in truth! "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:5 (NIV)
We're excited about this next season for Burn 24-7 New Bern. We don't really know what that looks like yet but we are feeling the winds of transformation blowing! We're prayerfully considering some new partnerships and potential opportunities available to us for 2018. We welcome your prayers for clarity and provision as we press forward.
Sept 20th-24th - Ignite Jacksonville @ The Jesus Tent (Jacksonville,NC)
What an amazing privilege it was for us to engage with this uniting of Jesus lovers from all over the region and others states for continuous worship, prayer and outreach. There was so much fruit... and we believe there's more to come. On Sat night, I had the privilege of leading a set with Sara Thorsby (vocals/flute), Derrick Stalnaker (electric), Jordan Lane (drums) and even talked our US National Burn 24-7 Director Matthew Lilley into jammin' with us on the bass. Even through some technical difficulties, the Holy Spirit was moving in that tent. Multiple people were baptized towards the beginning of our set and many were on their faces before God by the end of the set. Most importantly, we released an offering of praise simply because He is worthy! It only takes a spark...
Oct 6-9th - Awaken The Dawn - FIND A WAY TO GET THERE!!!
This is going to be an epic gathering of 50+ state tents (unplugged), regional tents, Israel tents, Nations/Justice tents and a big main stage on the National Mall in DC throughout the weekend to pour out an offering of praise. If you can be part of this, please jump in!
I will be leading at the NC Tent on Sunday (8th) at 9:00pm following a 5-9pm Awakening Gathering at the main stage with: Bethel Music, Todd White, Lou Engle, David Bradshaw, Sean Feucht (Burn 24-7 Founder) and many more. We would love it if you could help fill the NC Tent throughout the weekend as we release the sounds of Heaven. Here's the full Schedule for the NC Tent (unplugged acoustic only).
Monday Nights @ The Hobbit House @ 7-8pm. Raw, unplugged, continuous acoustic worship and prayer for those who want to dig deeper. No food will be involved as some of us will be fasting on Mondays for the rest of the year. Please email thorsby@theburn247.com if you would like to join us.

Sara and I have consistently signed up for at least an hour nearly six days a week since the launch a few years ago. We've had people sign up here and there throughout that time but we're looking for some consistent prayer warriors to rise up. We've had months where we covered 1,000 hours over a 40 day time span but many months where it's just a few of us covering 20-30 hours per month total. Every hour makes a difference so we appreciate those that are willing to commit!
