Hello Burning Ones!
We've had a fairly exciting month joining forces with many fiery forerunners and presence pioneers in our region... and beyond. We're strongly encouraging our Burn 24-7 New Bern community to engage with other Burns/ministries over the next few months. Branch out. Get out of your comfort zone. Build THE Kingdom. I've personaly felt led to make commitments to lead/partner at other Burns and gatherings to make deposits into our extended family for the next few months! We invite you to jump in with us on some level. Lead a worship set, pray, sow or just show up and engage!
Oct 6-9th - Awaken The Dawn - 50 Tent City @ National Mall (DC). 50 State tents, regional tents, native tents and main stage going 24/7 with worship and prayer!
I had the privilege of leading a few sets at the NC Tent and did multiple spontaneous/collaborative sets with other leaders throughout the final night until the 6am stop time. Sleep is overrated! In the words of David Bradshaw (many times)... it was unprecedented. And it was AMAZING!!!
Oct 27-28th - The Drop @ Catch The Fire Raleigh, NC. As a part of this collaborative effort with multiple ministry streams, I had the privilege of leading a worship set in the prayer room hosted by Burn Raleigh, NC. How good and pleasant it is...
Monday Nights @ The Hobbit House @ 7-8pm. Raw, unplugged, continuous acoustic worship and prayer for those who want to dig deeper. No food will be involved as some of us will be fasting on Mondays for the rest of the year. Please email thorsby@theburn247.com if you would like to join us.
If you're spending extended time in prayer individually or corporately for at least one hour, we encourage you to log that time by signing up on Craven24Seven so we can get a visual of the prayer coverage in our area. Sara and I have consistently signed up for at least an hour nearly six days a week since the launch a few years ago. We've had people sign up here and there throughout that time but we're looking for some consistent prayer warriors to rise up. We've had months where we covered 1,000 hours over a 40 day time span but many months where it's just a few of us covering 20-30 hours per month total. Every hour makes a difference so we appreciate those that are willing to commit!
