Hello Fiery Remnant!
Sara and I experienced some excellent California adventures as we attended Bethel's Kingdom Culture Conference in Redding, CA while also investing some time with a plethora of our national and international Burn Directors. We had the privilege of engaging in a live recording with our Burn 24-7 founder Sean Feucht and invested a bit of time together at the Feucht's home in lieu of a Global Burn Summit this year. This tribe operates as a family and it's quite refreshing. We also got to jump in with a local Burn since we're rarely all together in the same city! Sara and I maximized the opportunity to travel the long way up the coastline from San Francisco to Redding and were overwhelmed by some of the redwood forests. I'll leave the spiritual parallels of this amazing journey to your imagination. Just think in terms of trees that are hundreds of years old, strong root systems, long-term sustainment, many hours of driving the beautiful coastline to ponder, many curvy roads throughout the mountains that someone had a vision for and pioneered so we could benefit ...etc.
Let's just say it was good for our souls!
July Burn - We're still not sure what it looks like yet but we know God is preparing a venue for us to call our own so we're going to proceed in faith as if it's already locked in. Sometimes God answers our prayers but it doesn't always come in the packing or timing we're expecting it to. We're keeping our eyes wide open! With that being said, we're not sure yet where we're hosting yet this month but we're scheduling it in faith anyways. Please consider signing up to be part of our July 28th Burn from 9am-9pm. Even if it's just 12hrs of intercession with some acoustic worship in a house or park somewhere, we're going for it! See our Facebook event for details.
Sep 27th-29th - ATD Tent America (Raleigh, NC) - Please mark your calendars and make every effort to engage with this. In 2017 we gathered 50+ tents representing every state on the National Mall in DC, with thousands of people lifting up an incense of praise throughout the extended weekend. In 2018, we're raising a tent in the capital of every state for three days of continuous worship, prayer and outreach.
We strongly encourage our community/region to engage!

These shifts allow us to accept tax-deductible donations for our mission while "preparing the fields for rain" as we build structure for anticipated future growth. P.S. Thorsby Band (Michael & Sara Thorsby) - The Thorsby Band will be releasing a new album called Weapons of Warfare by mid-August. The finalized contents have been sent to production and we're patiently waiting!!! This album is a good sampler of the Burn DNA type of stuff we play at local Burn gatherings. This album is simply an overflow of what God has been doing in us and through us at these gatherings so we're excited to release these sounds to a larger demographic.
