Hello Fiery Remnant!
The Thorsby family had the honor of helping at David's Tent, DC for the first few days of NC week Mar 19th-25th. We helped staff the tent for about six hours per day and led worship about two hours per day. It even snowed outside but it was warm in the tent! It's such an honor to be part of a worship and prayer gathering on the National Mall that has been going CONTINUOUSLY for over 900 days straight. We've had the privilege of leading at the tent multiple times over the last few years and some of our Burn crew has been able to experience that with us. We look forward to sending more individuals and teams from our area to represent Burn 24-7 New Bern!
What's coming up:
April 13th-14th - Burn 24-7 Greenville (Greenville, NC) The Thorsby Band will be bringing a collaborative full band from some of our Burn crew to represent Burn 24-7 New Bern. We'll lead a set at 9pm on Apr 13th. We would love for you to join us for our set or just come for the whole 24 hours if you're feeling adventurous!
Jun 20th-24th - Kingdom Culture Conference (Redding, CA) Some of our Burn Directors are gathering at this conference for additional training with Bethel leaders and a live recording!!! We'll also be gathering at Sean Feucht's house for a Directors gathering Saturday for those who can attend in lieu of a Global Summit this year. This tribe operates as a family and it's quite refreshing. We're hoping to catch a regular service on Sunday to get a taste of their Sunday culture if flights allow. Please pray for those attending to get blasted with vision for the coming season(s). Michael & Sara are hoping to attend to represent BNB if flights, finances, & childcare work out.
Jun 24th-Jul 1st - Hillside Intensive (Raleigh, NC) Are you willing to invest one week of your life to get trained up in areas that you're passionate about? Consider jumping in with these guys to partner with those who are like-minded! We would love to see a few worship leaders there to represent Burn 24-7 New Bern and bring back fresh fire!
Sep 27th-29th - ATD Tent America (Raleigh, NC) - Please mark your calendars and make every effort to engage with this. In 2017 we gathered 50+ tents representing every state on the National Mall in DC, with thousands of people lifting up an incense of praise throughout the extended weekend. In 2018, we're raising a tent in the capital of every state. More details to come...
Thorsby Band (Michael & Sara Thorsby) - The Thorsby Band is ridiculously ready to release some new music! We need your help! Some of the spontaneous tracks we recorded at Barton College with Jordan Lane, Derrick Stalnaker & James Berry are currently being tweaked, mixed and mastered at PureMix Studios. We'll also be working with Disc Makers and CDBaby again for post-production and promo stuff to share with the world! We've launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the immediate expenses while also giving the opportunity for others to sow into the larger vision of TJ's. The Thorsby Band has primarily funded the vision, mission and all branches of TJ's in the past (including ministry branches like Burn 24-7 New Bern).
Fiery Remnant Ministries - We're in the process of separating some of the ministry branches of TJ's (including Burn 24-7 New Bern) to our recently formed hub called Fiery Remnant Ministries. The website is still under construction as we attempt to give language to what we're doing and we're also in the process of establishing it as a 501C3. Our next hurdle will be towards late April so there will be limited action on our sites for the next few months. We're just "preparing the fields for rain!" These shifts will allow us to accept tax-deductible donations for ministry-specific portions of our mission, which will reduce the burden on TJ's as well as build structure for anticipated future growth. We welcome your prayers for clarity, financial provision and all the behind-the-scenes logistics taking place to establish this ministry with excellence!
Venue (Next potential TJ's CAVE location that could host Burn 24-7 New Bern) - One of the preferred venues we were pursuing/negotiating revealed some extensive roof damage after the last snow storm. That was a blessing in disguise to find out BEFORE signing a lease to avoid costly repairs while sitting idle. They are still working on that particular property as they are exploring their potential tenant options to maximize rent. We are still very interested and just waiting to see how that pans out. We have our eye on a few others options but we're not in a rush since we're currently short on both money and time in this season. TJ's hosting Fiery Remnant Ministries (including Burn 24-7 New Bern) would save a ton of resources but we're also considering two separate locations if the larger building/neutral location doesn't work out. We would love to be in a facility by July of 2018 for TJ's and FRM/BNB/C247 but we'll see what happens...

We've had people sign up here and there throughout the last few years but we're looking for some consistent prayer warriors to rise up. We've had months where we covered 1,000 hours over a 40 day time span but many months where it's just a few of us covering 20-30 hours per month total. Every hour makes a difference so we appreciate those that are willing to commit!
