There is so much glory being poured out over New Bern and surrounding areas that we're going to have to get bigger buckets! We are in a season of new wine being poured out and we can't expect for it to fit in the contours of the old wineskins of the past (or wineskins with holes). We are boldly proclaiming throughout this region that the Holy Spirit is welcome here and I'm fully confident that we are seeing fruit as the cry of our hearts resound. I encourage you in this season to keep pressing in. Encourage your friends, your family, your neighbors, your ministries and even yourself that your labors are not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). There is power in unity!
Through the Burn we are seeing multi-cultural, multi-generational and multi-denominational communities coming together for a unified purpose... to worship Jesus! Ecclesiastes 4:12 talks about a cord of three strands not easily being broken. Sometimes we have to be willing to set aside our dogma (our preferences on how we do things) and focus on the essentials that we do agree on in order to see movements that are greater than our limited spheres of influence. What's awesome is when we get to ignite and experience the fire of God together and take that fire back to our local churches and bodies of believers to spread the fire even further. He is worthy of it all!!!
