This month's Burn wasn't super large in numbers due to conflicting events in the area but it was large in passion and purpose.  Sometimes we can get distracted and discouraged when we work really hard to set something up by being the Martha (serving) so that others can enjoy the fruits of that labor with the opportunity to be the Mary (soaking).  Don't be discouraged for we work as though we're working for the Lord (Colossians 3:23).  Even though that is a reality, we delight in the fact that our purpose is for an audience of One and we also have a corporate anointing when just two or three are gathered in His name with the same purpose (Matthew 18:20).  We had way more than that throughout the 12 hours of worship & prayer and the Holy Spirit was obviously working on some people as they soaked in His presence.

We had a great mix of local churches and ministries come together in both service and attendance and it's so good to see multi-generational, multi-cultural and multi-denominational lover of Jesus come together for a unified purpose to simply worship our creator.  We look forward to increased relationships being built from this community, a stronger outpouring of the Holy Spirit, a changed atmosphere in and around New Bern and an increased desire to push each other to reach new levels of skills and intimacy and we bring this fire back to our local places of worship.

This is such a pleasure to be part of something that is so much bigger than a single individual, church, ministry or building.  This is a community effort.  We encourage YOU to be part of this movement as God may be ready to release a fresh anointing through you and your talents!

Until next time...
